Windmill- It was modernized in 1875.
Is a machine that is powered by the energy of the wind. It converts the wind into useful forms by rotating blades or sails. In much of Europe it was used to grind grain, but then there was a more modified wind mill to help pump water. It is said that the windmill started in Persia, tradition has it, then the knowledge spread into Northern Europe as a result of the Crusades. Since the European windmill is so different from the Persian windmill ; it's very possible someone discovered it independently. People don't know who invented the first wind mill, but history recorded that it was made in Eastern Persia.
The windmill provides energy for things like pumping water or grinding grain. At first the windmill was used to grind grain, but in parts of Europe they improved the windmill and was used for pumping water. This invention works when wind blows. When the wind blows, the blades turn in a circular rotation. This causes the gears to turn things such as a grind stone or later a pump that forced water up from a well. The windmill has many simple machines such as the wheel and axle. A windmill contains 3 simple machines a wheel and axle, a pulley, and an inclined plane. The forms of energy involved include wind energy and mechanical energy. Mechanical energy is involved when the wind makes the blades rotate in a circular pattern. The forces in the windmill are changed when the wind pushes the blades which powers everything else causing the rest of the windmill to be powered.
The windmill revolutionized the amount of work that had to be done in many different tasks. Instead of lifting buckets of water by hand the windmill could use a different kind of energy and get the same results. The windmill started ann industry of its own. People could use their windmills to produce a prophet by grinding other peoples grain. The windmill increased the economy because it increased the flow money through out Europe.

Steamboat- Robert Fulton was the inventor.
This invention was invented in 1807. Robert Fulton made the first American steamboat in New York. The steam engine replaced man powered boats. This invention affected peoples lives because now there would be a lot more water travel in the world. The steam boat affected industry because goods and raw materials were transported quicker, and more supplies were transported. The steamboat affected the economy by transporting more goods making more goods being sold.
The steamboat made transatlantic travel much quicker and easier. The steamboat uses a steam engine to move up and down rivers or across lakes, seas, and oceans. The steamboat uses the power from it's steam engine in it's hull to move any direction in any direction. The forms of energy that are used in the steamboat are theraml energy and mechanical energy. The simple machines used in a steam boat are an inclined plane, a lever, and a wheel and axle. ON a steamboat The longer you have been out on the water the more force is needed to the samw amount of work.
